BABAK SOLEIMANI, PH.D.
Babak Soleimani is a data scientist and a design researcher at HKS Architects. He holds a Ph.D. in architecture from the University of Michigan and also holds an M.S. degree in Information from Michigan University and an M.Arch. degree from Penn State University. Babak’s current research is focused on the interaction between human behavior and perception, the built environment and new technologies by utilizing user-generated data sets. In his doctoral work, Babak has developed new qualitative (storytelling) and quantitative (network) methods and models to help multi-disciplinary design teams with organizing and sharing their vision of complex design situations.
